"I am particulary impressed with her rate of learning." - Parent
"I really wanted to congratulate you all, as a parent, for the sterling work with my daughter so far this term.
She seems very contented with her time at pre-school, is very relaxed around the staff team and has formed close relationships with all workers - a fantastic feat considering you were a new staff team from Easter.
I know from verbal feeback from other parents that they feel the same.
I am particulary impressed with her rate of learning this term - she has come on in leaps and bounds and was able to teach her elder brother a thing or two about the right order of days in the week (I overheard the conversation in the back of the car as I was driving). She has a very confident older brother so she really relishes being able to be herself out of his shadow at pre-school.
She has loved the learning of new songs at circle time and regularly bursts into a newly learnt song at home. The play area has also been a revelation.
I am also particulary please at the improvement in her motor skills and how her mark making has come on. It is good to see that you have been able to wean her into other activities.
I am looking forward to seeing the progress she will make for the rest of the term and appreciate being able to see her development file when I wish and being able to talk to the staff team.
Once again, please pass on my thanks to everyone for their super work throughout the pre-school and particulary with my litttle girl who loves her time with yourselves and is learning to love achieving and feeling safe to try new things."

"My eldest son has recently left Clifford Pre-School to start school after attending since his 2nd birthday.
After such a lengthy period I feel well qualified to comment on how things have changed in the last term of his attendance. Amanda, Jo and the other staff have demonstrated huge commitment working with the children, improving the setting to such an extent that it is almost unrecognisable. There are now dedicated areas for all aspects of play which the children are able to explore freely.
My son has benefited from the "Rising 5's programme" aimed at specifally the older children. I feel his number work and writing skills have improved considerably because of this, particularly as it is approached in a fun way, the emphasis is on the play and the learning is a bonus!
I am delighted that my younger son continues to attend Clifford Pre-School and look forward to seeing what further improvements Amanda and her team have planned for September."

"My 3 year old son has hapily attended Clifford Pre-School for a year. I have always been happy with the care and facilities provided and impressed with all the staff members who have worked there.
At Easter 2007, a whole new team took over to run the pre-school. Through their hard work, positive attitude and welcoming approach they ensured a smooth transition from the well established team, gaining the trust and confidence of the children and parents quickly.
My son has continued to enjoy his visits to pre-school and when he gets home he is always keen to play the games and sing the songs he has learnt there.
Over the easter holidays, the pre-school was re-decorated, toys were re-organised and new labels and displays were added. This made pre-school a more inviting, brighter and stimulating place to play.
There are lots of things I like about Clifford Pre-School:
The staff are approachable and welcoming; they make time to talk and support parents.
They are child centered and pick up on individual children's interests. For example my son loves mini beasts so they found a mini beast book just for him.
They have a positive behaviour strategy and encourage children with reward stickers and lots of praise.
Activities are well planned and deliver a wide range of learning activities, sometimes involving other adults e.g. a visit from a maternirt nurse during their work about babies.
They keep the parents well informed verbally and also through newsletters and the notice board.
Most improtantly Clifford Pre-School is FUN!
Its lovely to hear the children singing just before home time and then they greet parents/carers with smiles because they have had a heppy time. I am really pleased that my son has had the opportunity to play and learn in such a cheerful, safe and stimulating environment and wish the pre-school all the best for the future."

"Just a short note to say what a wonderful job you are all doing at Clifford Pre-School. My son loves every part of coming to you and even in the holidays he still wants to come!
In this area we do have quite a bit of choice on where to send our children and I myself applied for my son to join Primrose Lane Nursery. After careful consideration I decided that he was so happy and learning so much with you that it would only cause upset and heartache for me to move him.
It is such a lovely environment for all children, so much that I would highly recommend that anyone thinking about where to take their children should come and see how happy everyone is and to me happiness is very important to a child.
My son and I will be sad to leave when he starts mainstream school in September.
Thanks again for all your hard work, you are doing a great job."
