The Committee of Clifford Pre-School.

As with any charity (registration number 1041173) we are bound by legislation to have a committe to oversee the running of the pre-school. On the whole, this committee is made up of the parents (and grandparents!) of the children that attend the setting.

The committee's main responsible is helping Amanda and the rest of the staff in the safe and successful running of the pre-school. We all have specific roles that we undertake and generally have a committee meeting once every two months to make sure that all is on-track! We are always on the look out for new members to join our merry band and if any parents can spare a couple of hours a week and can help us out in any position, then they would be absolutely welcome.

As the law states, the pre-school must always have the following posts in the committee filled at all times, these are: Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. At the moment the committee is comprised of the following members:

At Clifford Pre-School we are very mindful that our main service user are the children (our harshest critics!) and their parents. It is therefore our aim that the money that is made by fees, fundraising, grants and any other donations goes straight back into the setting and that the children benefit from this. The pre-school is run as a non-profit organisation and we are very privileged to have Sarah Bates onboard as our external accountant. Sarah brings us a lot of experience in the area of business forecasting and has already struck up an important relationship with the treasurers that has kept the pre-school on the straight and narrow.

The committee tries to be forward thinking and is always striving to improve the pre-school as a whole. If any parents can offer some time to help in this goal then it would greatly benefit the children of Clifford Pre-School.
